What is a Speech Language Pathologist?
A Speech Language Pathologist (Speech therapist) holds a master's degree and is educated in the assessment and treatment of speech, language and feeding/swallowing development and disorders. They are accredited by the American Speech Language Hearing Association and hold Certificates of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). They are trained to differentiate between what is normal, what will resolve on its own, and what necesitates therapy.
